But they were looking for a better place, a heavenly homeland. That is why God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them. // Hebrews 11:16
I don’t think about this as much as I should, but when I do I get excited. It’s incredible. It’s like this awesome fairy tale story that you hear as a kid. Think about it, there was a perfect place made by an awesome Creator, then it got messed up by evil, then that same awesome Creator sent His awesome Son to come in and redeem the messed up place… But that’s not the end, the place is still pretty messed up, but in the end we get to go to an even better place that can never be messed up. I get kind of tingly inside thinking about it. I love how C. S. Lewis put it
“If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world.”
I know this wasn’t the most eloquent post, but I just felt like sharing this and wanted to encourage you guys to think about this more, ‘cos I know I need to.
